DENISE HART – Pilates Center of York Denise is the owner and instructor of the Pilates Center of York. She has 20 years experience as a personal fitness trainer and instructor. She has 10 years combined experience teaching Pilates mat and equipment classes. She managed and directed in various clubs on the East coast for 13 years . She has 5 years teaching experience at York College as an adjunct professor in the Physical Education Department. Denise holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock University. She is a certified Personal Fitness Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She is certified in Pilates through the Physical Mind Institute. Specialty certifications in Life Wellness Coach, Older Adult Fitness (AIFE), Arthritis Foundation Exercise instructor, Silver Sneaker instructor, Sports Nutrition, American Heart Association First Aid and CPR. My mission is to reach out to all age groups and educate them on how to achieve healthy goals in strength, cardio, flexibility and nutrition. It is important to obtain balance in your life that will help you to achieve optimal health as stated from the American College of Sports Medicine. Joseph Pilates believed that in order to achieve happiness we must gain control over our bodies. The method of Pilates is a combination of physical, mental and spiritual training that creates balance in our lives. It is with these two types of training that helps me to achieve results for my clients.

ALBERTO GUIFFRIDA is a Certified Personal Trainer with NSCA, NPTI, S.M.A.R.T.. He believes you should Train smarter as opposed to longer. He feels exercise comes down to quality over quantity. Flash Fitness is Functional training; utilizing your strength, endurance, and heart to create quick, fun fitness. His mission is to educate his clients and bring out their motivation so they can enjoy exercise with a punctual professional service.

MARY BETH FITZ is certified through NSPA. Her passion for fitness has brought her from client to instructor to a certified Personal Trainer. Her mission is to help others succeed in their personal fitness goals for a lifetime. In keeping with this mission, she will develop an individual program that will reflect your fitness goals and objectives by incorporating strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, core training, and proper nutrition. Through encouragement and support, she can make your life’s journey the best and healthiest it can be! Remember, everyBODY can do it!

Amy is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with 8 years group fitness experience and two years personal training. Amy’s passion is derived from struggles in her own life. Learning that you need to eat to live, not live to eat, and falling in love with exercise, changed her life of being overweight. She now loves to help others achieve their goals and specializes in weight loss, strength training, flexibility, and just plain feeling better for women of any age! Philosophy: Small consistent changes lead to big results!

KRISTEN WOLF is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She is in her second year as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, and loving every minute of it! Prior to becoming a personal trainer, she was your average wife and mother, taking care of everyone but herself. She put on those extra pounds after having children. She’s been on her own personal journey of weight loss, muscle building and overall better health. What’s she’s learned in her journey has made her so passionate about health and fitness that she’s decided to pay it forward. She’s so excited about helping others achieve their goals. Kris offer’s one-on-one personal training as well as program design for you to do on your own. CATHY ANKENY has an undergraduate degree in Corporate Fitness and a Master’s degree in Health Sciences. She has been a fitness professional for over 20 years. She works with all types of clients; however, she specializes in fitness for older adults and those with special needs/chronic pain. In 1999, she received the National Keiser Healthy Horizon Award for Fitness Programming for the Aging. She aims to provide fitness and healthy eating options to best meet each individual’s lifestyle, health status and goals.

NANCY HART a ISCA certified Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor with over 13 years experience teaching group fitness and 8 years personal training. Her mission statement: “I believe the key to a successful workout regime is to keep it fresh and creative, yet challenging enough to surprise the client when they realize what they are capable of. I frequently utilize the client's own body weight as resistance, stressing the importance of core strength, flexibility and full range of motion.” Philosophy: “Fitness should be functional, complimenting our everyday activities and bringing out the best in us. EVAN BRANIN BraninBody Fitness Evan and Kara Branin, owners of BraninBody Fitness, are a husband and wife personal training team with a combined total of 12 years in the fitness industry. We specialize in fat-loss (including post-baby weight), sports training, muscle building, and functional training.
